GCILS Director, Professor Robin Geiß will present on “AI and the Digital Battlefield” at the Digital Law Center’s “AI Tech & Policy Talks (AITPT)” online event on Wednesday 3 March, 12.15-2.00pm.
The “AI Tech & Policy Talks (AITPT)” online series was created as a space for interdisciplinary discussions and exchanges on the governance issues raised by artificial intelligence, in October 2020. During each AITPT session, a presentation will be made by a researcher on a topic relating to IA governance. The presentation is followed by comments made by two expert commentators and by a general informal discussion with the participants. The AITPT events are organised in English.
At the next session, that will take place online on Wednesday, 3 March, Professor Geiß, Swiss Chair of International Humanitarian Law at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, Professor of International Law and Security at the University of Glasgow and upcoming Director of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), will give a presentation on the topic of “AI and the Digital Battlefield”.
The presentation of Professor Geiß will be commented by Prof. Marco Sassòli, Department of Public International Law and International Organization, UNIGE and Prof. Giovanna Di Marzo, Computer Science Center, UNIGE.
