On 28 January, GCILS will welcome Professor Henri de Waele from Radboud University Nijmegen.  Professor de Waele is a regular visitor to Glasgow, typically teaching in fields of EU law. He also, with Professor Christian J. Tams, leads a joint Radboud-Glasgow research project on the Permanent Court of International Justice (please see: https://gcils.org/?projects=the-hope-of-ages-is-in-the-process-of-realization-establishing-a-world-court-1920-1922).

Professor de Waele’s talk on 28 January, entitled ‘The Professionalisation of International Law Scholarship, 1919-1940: Dutch Academics in Context’ will cover an aspect of that joint research.
