For a few years, GCILS Director, Prof Christian J. Tams (the Review Editor of the European Journal of International Law – EJIL) has invited members of the EJIL board to offer short reflections on their favourite books of the year.
This tradition is continuing this year and over the course of this week a number of ‘favourite reading‘ posts will appear on EJIL:Talk!, the journal‘s law blog. Readers looking only for technical doctrinal works may be in for a disappointment: the list of recommended books is broad and diverse, ranging from Rosalyn Higgins to Leonard Cohen. Great way to sum up 2019 and very useful list, if you’re looking for gift suggestions for others or indeed yourself. Have a look and be inspired! And watch this space on our Twitter (@UofGCILS), as we‘ll tweet to flag up new posts.
