Dr Anni Pues appointed as Victims’ Counsel in the first trial before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers

GCILS’s Dr Anni Pues was recently appointed as Victims’ Counsel in the first trial before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.

In her opening statement, she emphasised that this trial will be the last chance of redress for victims who suffered torture, murder, and cruel treatment during the Kosovo war in 1998-1999. She also argued that an effective regime of reparations is needed, providing a tangible result for victims.
